Carmelized Onions (two ways!)

We love carmelized onions in this house. I probably make them every week.
They are so simple and so easy, and just add another layer of flavor to any meal.

Hubby and darling daughter love love the sweet ones with pork chops. Especially good, old fashioned shake and bake pork chops.
Oh, and ham steak. They have me carmelize (sweet) both the ham steak AND the onions.

Carmelized Onions
Ingredients:
Onions
Olive Oil

Directions:
Cook onions low and slow in a pan with olive oil. The onions will develop their natural sugars and the onions will turn a golden brown.

Carmelized Onions (Sweet)
Ingredients:
Onions
Butter
Brown Sugar

Directions:
Cook onions low and slow with butter. As they sweat and turn clear, add brown sugar to taste.
